“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.”
John 11:25
It is with every hope in the resurrection of our Lord and God and Saviour Jesus Christ that we inform you of the death of James Demetrios Thomas. He was 35 years old. James is the husband to Catherine Thomas, the son to Manni and Peter Thomas, the son-in-law to Kathryn and Liberato Socci.
He was loved and cherished by so many family and friends. His siblings Peter and Kelly Thomas, Penelope Thomas, and in-law brothers Jim Socci and Leo Socci Jr. (Kryn). Nieces and nephews- Meni, Peter, Georgia, Meni, Effi Thomas, and Jimmy, Gianna, Anthony, Devon, Leo Socci.
Please take a moment of silence and offer the following prayer for his repose in the Lord.
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Lord, remember Your servant Demetrios who has fallen asleep in the hope of the Resurrection to eternal life. Forgive him every transgression he has committed in thought, word or deed. Grant him peace and refreshment in a place of light where Your glory delights all the Saints. For You are the resurrection, the repose and the life of Your departed servant Demetrios, and to You I give glory, now and forever. Amen.
Please pray for his family during this most difficult time.
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Almighty God, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, come to our help and deliver your servants, and their families from this difficulty that besets them. Stand by them in their suffering. Support them in their patience. Preserve them by Your grace and shelter. Help them to face and endure this difficulty with faith, courage and wisdom. Grant that this trial may bring them closer to You, for You are our rock and refuge, our comfort and hope. We trust in Your love and compassion. Blessed is Your holy name, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit now and forevermore. Through the intercessions of the glorious Lady Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary and of all your saints. Amen.
