Greek Letters Day Celebration by our Hellenic School

February 5, 2012
11:30 amto12:30 pm

The students and teachers of our Hellenic School invite all the parents and the parishioners to attend the special program for the celebration of the Three Hierarchs and Greek Letters Day on Sunday, February 5th immediately following the Divine Liturgy. We encourage you to participate in the Divine Liturgy and then join us for our program which includes the life and contributions of the Three Hierarchs and Ecumenical Teachers, Saint Basil the Great, Saint John Chrysostom, and St. Gregory the Theologian. We will also have a presentation of the ancient Greek Tragedy, “The Sacrifice of Princess Iphigeneia for Greece”.

All students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 will participate. Admission is free! We hope to see all our parents and many parishioners, so together with your presence, we can enjoy the students’ efforts to preserve the Greek Orthodox Faith, and the Hellenic Cultural and Literary Heritage. The theater, drama and tragedies were born in ancient Greece. Our students always get inspired by the humanistic messages of these literary works. Join us for one hour of inspiration and literary elevation!

Me agape,
Demosthenes
