Project Mexico Dates set for 2012

Once again our Church will be participating in our annual “Project Mexico” trip to St. Innocent Orthodox Orphanage in Mexico. Our team will include adults as well as GOYA members who wish to dedicate a week of their lives to helping a family in need. This year’s mission trip will be from July 6-13th .
Each year our team builds a house from the ground up for a family that otherwise would not have a home. We will gather with over 15 other Orthodox Churches from around the country and stay at St. innocent Orthodox Orphanage. While at St. innocent’s, we share in fellowship with the boys of the orphanage and the other groups as well as participate in the various programs and events that are offered to what is called “OBT” (Orthodox Basic Training). Every morning we set out to our work site and in just one short week we will have completed building an entire home for a needy family! Our evenings are filled with fellowship, discussion time, talking and singing at the bonfire and or just meeting new friends…
Project Mexico can truly be an experience of a lifetime !!!
We are asking for your prayers for our team to go and return safely as they represent the Presence of Christ to the poor.
