Sunday School

Dear Families of the Sunday School,

September 1st marks the beginning of the Ecclesiastical Year and the Sunday School once again looks forward to working with your children to instruct them in our Orthodox Christian Faith.

Registration for Sunday School will be on Sundays, September 11th and September 18th. You are encouraged, however, to email Doulie Zimmar at dzimmar@yahoo.com to get a registration, complete and send the the form along with the registration fee of $35 per family to the church and to the attention of the Sunday School. This will allow us to set up the classes in time for the first day. Checks should be made payable to the Church of Our Saviour. Your child must be registered PRIOR to attendance in a Sunday School class. CLASSES WILL BEGIN ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 26st.

Children entering the Pre-School class must be at least 3 years old. The Seminar is designed for high school students Grades 9 – 12. Grade placement is based upon student’s grade in regular school.

Please be generous with your time and assistance when you register your child. The various activities sponsored by the Sunday School PTO need your help. Plans are being made to implement these new ideas but your help and involvement is essential. Please consider where you can help and sign up to make your children’s Sunday School experience even better. Working with other parents to a common purpose provides fulfillment and fellowship. Please be sure to review the explanations for the various activities and to complete the volunteer page when you register. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!

Please make a family commitment to regular Church attendance. Discuss with your children the importance of attending Divine Liturgy on time and taking a vital interest in their spiritual life. Also, it is most important to start the year off with good attendance. This often insures regular attendance for the rest of the year.
