Orthodox Christian Adult Education Classes 2019

The Greek Orthodox Church of Our Saviour will be offering our annual Spring Orthodox Christian Catechism (instruction) Class during the Great Lenten Period. The class will be held on the following Wednesday evenings –

March 13, 20, 27 and April 3, 10, 17 beginning at 8pm each Wed. evening.

This is a class based on the fundamentals of the Orthodox Church and will also include Bible Fellowship and Discussion as well. This is an excellent opportunity for Orthodox Christians as well as non-Orthodox Christians to receive additional instruction about the Orthodox Christian Church, the traditions involved and many other teachings in the Holy Scriptures. The class structure follows that of an open dialogue and discussion lead by Father Elias and George Hazlaris.

March 13 – Day One – The Early Christian Church, Faith and Worship

March 20 – Day Two – Christian Differences between Orthodox and Catholic/Protestant

March 27 – Day Three – Worship and Liturgy

April 3 – Day Four – Sacraments and personal prayer life

April 10 – Day Five – Dr. George Demacopoulos “My God, My God why has Thou forsaken me”

April 17 – Day Six – Open Discussion – Why are we Orthodox Christian?

If you are interested in participating in the class, please email Kathy in our Church office at kspizzirri@gocoos.org to register so we can plan accordingly!
