The Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society, Inc. is the duly accredited women’s philanthropic society of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.  The mission of the Society shall be:

To aid the poor, the destitute, the hungry, the aged, the sick, the unemployed, the orphaned, the imprisoned, the widowed, the handicapped, the victims of disaster, to undertake the burial of impoverished persons and to offer the assistance to anyoen who may need the help of the Church through fund raising efforts and
To promote the charitable, benevolent, and philanthropic purposes of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, through instructional programs, presentations, lectures, seminars and other educational resources
To preserve and perpetuate Orthodox Christian concepts, and thorugh them, to promote the Greek Orthodox Faith and traditions, in accordance with its doctrines, canons, disciplines, divine worship, usages and customs
To promote participation in the activities of the Greek Orthodox community, with the cooperation of the Parish Priest and the Parish Council.
The charitable work of the Society shall be performed with discretion, courtesy and kindness.
The Ladies Philoptochos chapter of the Church of Our Saviour participates in the following outreach programs
St. Michael’s Home for the Aged, St. Basil’s Academy, Project Mexico, Unicef, Ronald McDonald House, the National Philoptochos funds including the Cardiac Fund, Social Services, St. Photios Shrine, IOCC, Support a Mission Priest, Holy Cross/Holy Trinity, Archdiocese Mission.
Locally, we contribute to the Grace Soup Kitchen in White Plains, the Church of the Holy Rosary Christmas donations to needy families, Harrison adopt a family, Carver Center, Daystar program.
The Ladies Philoptochos of the Church of Our Saviour is on a stewardship program.   Aphrodite Skeadas is our membership chairman.  Please see any of us or feel free to call or email with your stewardship contribution for the year.  We look forward to welcoming new members to our organization and always appreciate the presence of our existing members.
