Welcome to the Greek Orthodox Church of Our Saviour

"Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to entertain new comers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels." (Hebrews 13:1-2)

Greetings in the Lord,

Welcome to The Greek Orthodox Church of Our Saviour!  Whatever the reason behind your virtual visit, I would like to extend an invitation for you to come gather with us in person — to join with us for worship or for one of our upcoming social or cultural events!  Our website presents only a bit of who we are as a joyful people of God and all that we share amongst ourselves, our surrounding community and the world!

Our vibrant church community is composed of nearly 400 steward families, of varied cultural backgrounds that gather in our sacred space to celebrate the presence of Christ through participation in the Divine Liturgy, the sacraments and the rich and meaningful observance of our Church’s holy traditions. We are blessed to offer educational programs for all ages, numerous philanthropy programs and a dynamic list of Christ-centered ministries and programs that challenge and feed our church community.

Modeled in the Byzantine architectural tradition, adorned with traditional iconography and highlighted by a prominent dome ceiling, our sanctuary has been described as “Breathtaking!” Our recent renovations afford us modern conveniences in a space that addresses the needs of our community for everything from small meetings, to classrooms, athletic events and large social gatherings. No words however can convey the beautiful melding of this modern functional space with the atmosphere of our burning oil lamps and that make the presence of mystery and holiness palpable!

Our parish is under the spiritual and ecclesiastical shepherding of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophorous of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America under the jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople. Together we confess the Orthodox understanding of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour; together we honor the Holy Spirit as the same power that has carried the Orthodox Church throughout the centuries to the present! Come join us in a life lived in faith and in the grace offered us all as children of God!

Until I can welcome you personally, may the blessing of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the Love of God the Father and the Communion of the Holy Spirit be with you and your family now and always.

Faithfully Yours in Christ,

Protopresbyter Elias G. Villis
Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Patriarchate
